WordPress Development, ACF + CPT Based Customization
This project was built using WordPress with a focus on scalability and content flexibility, thanks to:
Custom Post Types (CPTs): Enabled the creation of distinct content structures—such as “Projects”—that allowed each to have its own admin interface, custom template, and archive page. This organization ensures robust project grouping (e.g., by sector: Commercial, K-12, Healthcare, etc.)
Advanced Custom Fields (ACF): Empowered the content editors to enrich each project entry with structured metadata—project type, category, featured images, descriptions, and more—without messing with raw HTML or default fields. Combined, CPTs + ACF deliver a dynamic back end that’s intuitive to maintain.
Tailored Front-End Rendering: Single project pages and archive listings have custom templates (e.g.,
single-project.phpandarchive-project.php) that dynamically pull in ACF meta and display project visuals, categories, and details in a seamless layout.
The result is a fully self-managed project portfolio that the OLA team updates independently. New projects are added through a structured admin panel — editors select the sector (Commercial, Healthcare, K-12), upload images, and publish — no developer needed. The site scales as OLA's portfolio grows without any structural changes.
